Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, Plano (Map)
Is it spring already? Nope -- we just decided to hold our Plano Score-O earlier this year! (No poison ivy in February, hurrah!) As we did last year, the event will take place at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve. Did you know that this is Plano’s largest park? It's just over 800-acres and has a trail network that traverses a variety of terrain, from mowed fields, to deep woods, to blackland prairies. Very beginner friendly! So bring some friendly beginners with you!
The Score-O format lets you collect whichever control points you choose in any order you want. There’s no preset course to follow and therefore no penalty for missed points, just credit for those you find. But watch your time. Overtime penalties can pile up fast! No e-punch rental needed for this event.
