Each individual starter for SouthWest Interscholastic Championship competition will be scored.
Scoring for each of the eight interscholastic classes will be by two-day total time.

The first three eligible finishers from
the ISVM, ISVMF, ISJVM, ISJVMF, ISIM, ISIMF, ISPM and ISPMF classes will receive an individual medal.

| Team Score |
Scoring for team awards in each of the six SW Championship Interscholastic Team Categories
(School Varsity, Club Varsity, School Junior Varsity, Club Junior Varsity, School Intermediate and Club Intermediate)
will be done as follows:
For each interscholastic class, define AWT (the average winning time) as the average of the times of the top
three competitors in that class who are competing in a team category.
For each competitor in each class with a valid result, their score is computed as
60*(competitor's time)/ (AWT for the class)
For competitors with an OT, MP, DNF or DSQ result, their score will be the larger of
10+60*(course time limit)/ (AWT for the male class) and
10+60*(course time limit)/ (AWT for the female class) for that team category
The best three scores each day for each team are combined for a team score
Lowest overall team score wins.

At the SouthWest Interscholastic Championship competition, Team awards
will be awarded for the Team categories: School Varsity, Club Varsity, School Junior
Varsity, Club Junior Varsity, School Intermediate and Club Intermediate.
Awards will not be given in the School Primary or Club Primary categories.
The first three elegible teams at the SouthWest Interscholastic Championship competition will
receive a championship team award. The form (Trophy, Plaque, ...) of the championship team award
will be left to the descretion of the hosting club and should be appropriate for the stature of
the event.
